Wright's Hybrids

Echeverias are still enjoying a revival in interest, with many new collectors currently joining the "long termers".  We need to try and encourage even more serious collectors, to protect the preservation of the various plants. Many are already "lost forever"

While Nature painted the original picture, with all the beautiful species plants, and their natural hybrids, origins of many of the " created " hybrid plants is rather obscure and hybridisers virtually unknown to newer collectors.

These brilliant hybrid plants do not "just appear" They are the end product of, at times, years of someone's dedication and care. to produce a reliable new hybrid plant.

This page lists some of the beautiful, named, Echeveria plants I have, which were hybridised by Dick Wright. of Wrights Nursery, California, who was involved in this field from 1958 to 1985. The Nursery unfortunately closed due to a devastating fire. A great loss to both themselves, and the Echeveria lovers of the world.
